That's it. It's been done. I put the finish on in PVA to protect it from angry people who might throw tea all over it. I didn't want to use the expensive stuff on such a big canvas :( .
Before i did that though I used loads of charcoal to tone some areas down quite a lot. Then I brightened up little bits of it. You can take a closer look at the face if you want to ....
[link] .... there it is. Thanks. I know it's a poor photograph.
So yeah I started this at the end of the summer and I've been submitting all the stages I went through right up to this one. You might be a little but tired of seeing it now so it's gonna be the last I'm sure. And I want to take this oppertunity to thank all of you who have been following this picture right srom the start, when it was that Green wavy colourd ground ages ago. THANKYOU :D
you make it all worth wile.
I went over the picture in some charcoal just to darken it all like in my GCSE, lol that was funny. (I have a habbit of doing that) and I wrote my name on the bottom in red. Thanks for taking another look This really means alot to me. :D ;) thankyou.

I've been following it form the start and it really is wonderful to see something be created like this and see your process, thanks so, so much for putting in the time not only to do it but to show us too. And i can see the coloured ground, just about! You're an amazing artist, you're gonna have an amazing future as one too.

OK, I've finally got round to checking some messages. I know you finished it, but it's still great to see it!

And wow, the depth, the light, the precision, it's all amazing! Great work!

Right, onto the next one now...

a +fav for sure.

Whoa neat!! Really great to see it finally finished, and it looks fantastic too. I think it's cool that while maintaining a sort of impressionist style, your picture is much darker and has somewhat richer hues than some pictures than (Degas?) did, which were much paler and lighter. Great expression on her face, and how her eyes sort of recede into darkness, but I really love that dress and all the colours in it. :D Awesome job!!

Thanks. it's a strange thing I have I feel the need to alter things which somehow puts a sort of twist on the subject. I don't quite know what it is but I suppose it makes it more interesting for me rather than just producing an exact copy of the origional. And thankyou once again I'm really really glad you like it so much :D ;)
